In recent months, the mortgage industry has gone through a series of changes, and a client’s credit score has become a major factor in determining whether they will be applicable for a certain loan or interest rate. In an effort to help clients better understand their credit score, and know what to do to possibly change it, Platinum Funding Solutions has debuted an online credit score application named the “Credit Doctor”.

The Credit Doctor tool is designed to diagnose a client’s credit health and in certain cases prescribe an individual plan of action that could potentially change their credit score, if followed properly. The software not only provides credit scores, but it will also include information about the specific factors impacting the scores. The Credit Doctor assists home buyers who fit into one or all of these scenarios.

It helps home buyers:

* Examine potential – see how much room there is to improve a client’s credit.
* Recommend action – see specific ways to achieve that potential.
* Diagnose cause of credit – understand which accounts are hurting credit scores and which ones are helping credit scores.
* Verify information – makes sure that the information reported to the credit bureau is up-to-date and accurate.

A credit report from the Credit Doctor is only $23.00 for an individual and $38 for a joint file (i.e., two people ordering at the same time).

This includes the custom prescription to potentially change a credit score. All results are emailed within 24 business hours. Due to consumer protection laws, the credit report must be attained by the consumer. Sales associates cannot enter a client’s information for them, and pull the report with their own credit card. A sample report is available on the website so that the consumer is aware of how the report will look when they receive it, and see if it is right for them.
